Jean Dubuffet是法國的畫家與雕塑家，他為芝加哥創作的Monument with Standing Beast（下圖），也是他在美國唯三重要作品之一。
Monument with Standing Beast被擺放在James R. Thompson Center（後面簡稱JRTC）的廣場前，而這個雕塑呈現出四個元素：a standing animal, a tree, a portal and an architectural form。而資助作品的是State of Illinois Art-in-Architecture Program，Monument with Standing Beast是十九件作品之一。（以上擷取wiki）
Jean Dubuffet認為，雕塑是繪畫的延伸、進入空間。所以這件作品不只是可以在外面觀看，你也可以走進去。在網路上找到一張爬進去往外拍的照片，大家可參考。
擺放Monument with Standing Beast的JRTC在芝加哥也是重要的建築地標，十七層樓高，外觀有點半圓弧形的設計。一二樓是店面，地下一樓是美食街以及捷運站，其他空間是公家機關的辦公區。本人很想搭電梯或是到頂樓往下看，無奈上樓要識別+安檢，只好放棄囉！
好愛透明電梯喔！樓梯也亂有特色一把！
屋頂也是自然採光設計，據說，因為這樣的設計導致室內溫度飆高，夏天需要花費的空調費很驚人。
從一二樓的商場官網連結一張外觀照讓大家瞧瞧~相機要有超廣角才有辦法拍，下圖其實有點變形了！
